How does the minicabit Driver View work?
The minicabit Driver View enables PHOs to send the booking to their drivers which can be viewed on a mobile device.
It’s designed for Cab Partners that do not have a dispatch system or have drivers not using your dispatch system app your drivers are in control of updating their status directly from their mobile phone.
How do I assign a driver?
- You can already set up drivers on your minicabit Admin portal (see https://admin.minicabit.com/manage_driver.php). Then you can assign the driver at the dispatch time for each booking on your Admin portal and then click a button to send them an SMS (at no cost to you) with a unique link to their Driver View for that specific booking.
What if I need to change the driver? or
My driver hasn't received the SMS?
- There is the option of resending the SMS or assigning the booking to another driver, via Change Driver.
Will the driver see any pricing?
- No, that is not included in the Driver View.
What will be recorded?
- The driver assigned to the booking will update the status of the booking. Along with this, the app will take a static GPS of their location i.e. a driver event.
- minicabit will be able to see the location of the driver at each status update to aid with any issues surrounding pickup or any complaints arising from the booking.
What will the driver receive?

- When the driver is assigned, the driver is sent a SMS.

If there are changes to the booking
- If there are any changes to the booking such as change in pickup time, the driver is sent a SMS. They will need to login to view the changes.

If the booking is cancelled or assigned to another driver
- If the booking is cancelled, or is assigned to another driver, the driver will receive an SMS informing them to no longer proceed and contact you for further instructions.

How do they update the statuses of the booking?
- Once the driver has opened the link they will need to update each stage of the booking by updating the status.

- As the Provider, you will also be able to view the update to the status from inside your dashboard next to the booking in question.
