Location Pricing
Note that any Location Prices covering a particular route will take priority over any existing Per Mile Price (PMP) and minimum fare for that same route. However, it will be overridden by any Postcode Area Price for that route.
When a customer enters their trip details, minicabit’s technology instantly scans all your pricing data to present the most appropriate quote for the trip. Location prices will override all other prices set up on your account but if you have not entered any Location prices; the system will calculate a price using your Postcode Area pricing; if you have neither of these available, it will calculate a price using your Mileage rates.
This means that your fares will be calculated:
- By Location then
- By Postcode Area then
- By Mileage: Please note that journeys are calculated based on the fastest distance from pickup to dropoff. If that implies taking the M25, then you should not request more money from the passenger since that mileage is already taken into account on the distance and price calculation.
Location pricing is a fixed price between any defined areas around two specific points. E.g. a price between a 2-mile radius around one full postcode to a 2-mile radius around another full postcode.
To set your prices by location, you will need to enter them on the By Location page. To get to this page from your minicabit dashboard, go to Location Prices as highlighted below -

ii) Enter the ‘finish’ postcode, enter the radius in miles around the finish postcode
iii) Enter what you would charge for a journey between the two postcode areas for a 1-4 passenger vehicle.

If you have vehicles larger then 1-4 passengers (5-6, 7 passengers etc.), the table will automatically pre-populate the remaining vehicle prices depending on the vehicle uplifts you have entered in the Vehicle Uplift Table. To find out more about vehicle uplifts, please click here.
Please remember to take into consideration our commission when entering your pricing. You should also include any VAT that you need to pay on these prices (12% commission for regular cars, 17% commission for Executive Cars, Premium cars and minibuses).
