When a customer enters their trip details, minicabit’s technology instantly scans all your pricing data to present the most appropriate quote for the trip. Our tech will first look up if you have entered a relevant ‘By Location’ price; if not, then a 'By Postcode Area' price; if neither of these are available, it will calculate a price using your ‘By Mileage’ rates.
Therefore, the three ways you can set your pricing are:
- By Mileage
- By Location
- By Postcode Area
Location pricing is a fixed price between any defined areas around two specific points. E.g. a price between a 2-mile radius around one full postcode to a 2-mile radius around another full postcode. This pricing tool is optional.
To set your prices by location, you will need to enter them on the By Location page. To get to this page from your minicabit dashboard, go to My Pricing > By Location.

To add a fixed price from one location to another location:
i) Click ‘+Add Prices’
ii) Enter ‘start’ postcode, enter the radius in miles around the start postcode, click the magnifying glass
iii) Enter the ‘finish’ postcode, enter the radius in miles around the finish postcode, click the magnifying glass
iv) Enter what you would charge for a journey between the two postcode areas for a 1-4 passenger vehicle.
v) If you want to set the same price for the return journey, you can do so by checking ‘Create a return journey price?’.
vi) Click ‘Save’
Add new Location Price
If you have vehicles larger then 1-4 passengers (5-6, 7 passengers etc.), the table will automatically pre-populate the remaining vehicle prices depending on the vehicle uplifts you have entered in the Vehicle Uplift Table. To find out more about vehicle uplifts, please click here.
Please remember to take into consideration our commission when entering your pricing. You should also include any VAT that you need to pay on these prices (12% commission for regular cars, 17% commission for Executive Cars, Premium cars and minibuses).
