Mileage Pricing
When a customer enters their trip details, minicabit’s technology instantly scans all your pricing data to present the most appropriate quote for the trip. Location prices will override all other prices set up on your account but if you have not entered any Location prices; the system will calculate a price using your Postcode Area pricing; if you have neither of these available, it will calculate a price using your Mileage rates.
This means that your fares will be calculated:
- By Location
- By Postcode Area
- By Mileage
Please note that journeys are calculated based on the fastest distance from pickup to dropoff. If that implies taking the M25, then you should not request more money from the passenger since that mileage is already taken into account on the distance and price calculation.
To set your prices by mileage, you will need to use the Mile Range Table on the By Mileage page. To get to this page from your minicabit dashboard, go to Per Mile Prices.
Mile Range Table
To set your mileage range prices:
‘To’ column - Use this to determine the mileage range.
‘1-4 Passengers’ column - Use this to enter what you would charge for the corresponding mileage range for a 1-4 seater vehicle.
If you have vehicles larger then 1-4 passengers, the remaining columns (5-6, 7 passengers etc.) will automatically pre-populate depending on the vehicle uplifts you have entered in the Vehicle Uplift Table. To find out more about vehicle uplifts, please click here.
You can enter distances into the mileage calculator, and and then adjust your mileage tiers or £ per mile rates to achieve a competitive price.
For Executive/luxury/Fully Electric and Wheelchair accessible vehicles, you now have the option to copy over your petrol/diesel/hybrid pricing, instead of inputting the rates manually, you also have the option to increase the price you are copying over by a certain % as shown on the page below
